Panel IV — Music Education

This international roundtable brought together distinguished music educators from across East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and America. The discussion focused on how to blend Western and Eastern pedagogical traditions to create more relevant and culturally sensitive music education. Panelists shared their experiences, insights, and strategies for harmonizing rich musical traditions with innovative practices, providing a unique opportunity to learn from diverse cultural backgrounds. The featured panelists were Jimmy Lim, Electronic Production and Design Assistant Professor at Berklee; Lin Zhantao, Erhu Virtuoso; Dr. Kính t. Vũ, Assistant Professor of Music at Boston University; and Amit Kavthekar, World-Renowned Tabla Player.
